Default Surgery caretaker

Dear All,

I am 26 and most probably will have a deformity correction for my severe scoliosis. I am currently submitting form to my insurance to get information how much it will be covered.

My question is do you think it is ok if I have the surgery without having family member taking care of me after the surgery?
I am an international student, may be I can ask my friend to help me for a while in the hospital but there is no quarantee that they will be available since they are also students.

Do you think is it essential to bring family (may be my sister) here or do you think I will be all right on my on.

Cheers,
Elizar

Default Re: Surgery caretaker

Hi
My cousin had this surgery last year and he had his mum there. It would be nice to have someone to care for you. I think family would be best but it's your choice and whether your family are available to come and support you.
Best of luck
