Default Anyone having to travel for treatment please read

This is just a tip for anyone travelling distance for treatment not avaliable in their area? I.E people in remote areas or people who need treatment not avaliable in their state? It a scheme called IPTAAS Isolated Patients Travel And Accomodation Assistance Scheme. I found it on NSW HEALTH website but Im sure they would have a simular thing in all our States? Because no Surgeons in our State offer Stapling (which at age 9 with a 59 degree curve) provides extra stregth to hold the dreaded curve!! We can apply to help subsidise flights and acccomodation to see our Surgeon. They dont pay for flights but work out a car travel cents per kilometre Help with taxi fees and because Emilys lung was deflated for stapling we had to stay 5 days longer before they would allow us to fly, we can claim a portion of accomodation?? It all helps guys & no one tells you there are these schemes?? Our school Principal put me onto it. Hope this is helpfull? You have 6 months from treatment to apply.

Cheers
Tracy
