Default just a little question

i was told to years ago that i had scoliosis and i had to wait it out to see if it would progerss or not. i was wondering is there a minimun degree necessry to have before they will opperate? and how big is the scar after the surgery?

It might be what you consider a "little question" but on the information provided we cannot clarify the situation for you. What you need to do is to have your family doctor refer you back to the specialist consulted and when you go for the consultation set down the list of questions you wish to have answered. This is the way to make sure that nothing of concern to you is overlooked.

There are no hard and fast rules about the management of scoliosis. There are guidelines as indicated on our website. There are 6 billion people in the world and no two are the same except for identical twins. In the same vein, no two scolioses are identical. There are a host of factors which come into making the decisions on management.
