Hi all,
I am thinking of getting scoliosis diagnosis. Please recommend: In the public system, which GP and scoliosis specialist in Sydney would you recommend? How is your experience with the referral system, for example, how long you need to wait in between each appointment? How much is your out of pocket expense? In the private system, which clinic/specialist in Sydney would you recommend? As for rehab exercise, has anyone done Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis(SEAS) exercise? How is it compared to other rehab exercise such as Schroth? Please kindly send me private messages for the names of GP/Specialist. |

I know this is an old thread but I am in Sydney and attended a scoliosis clinic in South Sydney early in 2018 and have been seeing a Scroth specialist in Northern Beaches for around 4 months now. I would be happy to share my experiences/reviews/links with any new visitor by private message.
PS if you are not sure whether to try Scroth, you should most definitely give it a shot. It's expensive, but if it can help relieve any of your symptoms, like it did mine, it's worth it. If you are an adult then you might still get benefits from attending Scroth sessions much less frequently than the practitioners normally recommend, this works for me and keeps the costs more manageable. |
