Question Post surgery - anyone benefit from a high back chair?

I was wondering whether anyone has invested in a high back chair or recliner for their lounge room.

We have quite a low back sofa, and I am concerned that post surgery - later in 2014 - that this will be uncomfortable for my daughters nd that she would benefit from us purchasing a better quality recliner with a high back.

Any thoughts?

Hi there. My daughter just sat in a kitchen chair with a pillow behind her back for the first couple of weeks. To be honest, a lot of that time was spent in bed. After a couple of weeks, she was ok to sit on the couch, again with a pillow for support. I am not sure it's worth investing in a special chair. You will be amazed just how quickly they actually bounce back.
Good luck.

We ended up investing in a high back chair.
With surgery right up to t1 the extra support for her neck was a great idea in the end.
She sits In the chair most of the day doing art, craft and home school activities.
