Default 3 months on...

Hi everyone,

I can't believe it's just over 3 months and I'm feeling pretty good over all.

I'm out of my brace (it was last Friday) and have almost stopped my medication. Only taking 1/2 a tablet of my Tramadol SR if I need it (sometimes it's twice a day). I've also started to drive, which is great.

I have also started hydrotherapy and have just caught up with my original physio (the scroth lady) for rehab.

I know that it's been very quiet on here lately, but I have a couple of questions and I'm hoping that someone will be able to answer.

1. Has anyone found it hard to walk properly after their op? I'm finding it still hard to move at a reasonable pace. I go walking as much as I can but I am so slow. It's very frustrating because I'm normally a fast walker. I am hoping that with time I will speed up. Is this normal? I also tend to want to lean forward and have to force myself to stand upright. It's hard work sometimes.

2. How long should I be on my meds? I know it's different for each one of us. However, even though I'm taking very little, my physio thinks I should be off them by now but I find that when I haven't taken one for a while I start to feel my hardware a little and my muscles and nervous seem to feel it too. It's not as bad as earlier on but I'm still getting a strange sensation throughout my body. Is this normal?

Ok that's it. Overall I am feeling positive especially when I can go shopping by myself, never thought I would say that but being independent is such a joy.

Merry Christmas everyone
