Default 'The Book'

Hi everyone, for some strange reason today, I thought about 'the book'.
"Which book?" I hear you ask.
The David Wolpert book (kindly donated by Jen) that's making the rounds to the forum members.
I am just interested to know, how many signatures are in it!
This is really weird, but does anyone have it? How many times has it been signed?

I thought about the book the other day as well Rodverta. I hope it's doing the rounds and not sitting on a bookshelf. Whoever's got it, would you post on the forum, in case anybody else is wanting to read it? Don't forget to put your signature in it as well!

I ordered the book last week and hope it comes before I go to Melbourne Thursday. Happy to share it around when I am finished with it...

Thumbs up Re: 'The Book'

I had the book but cant remember if I signed it. Thankyou Jen for donating the book, it was well worth the read and helped me talk to the surgeons on thier level, asking questions that matter.
Really appreciated
Cheers
Louise

I cant remember how many signatures but I would say around 4 perhaps.

Simo, the book is called "Scoliosis Surgery, The Definitive Patient's Reference" by David K Wolpert.
Its a fantastic book that helps you understand spinal anatomy, causes of scoliosis, how they measure the curves, risks, different types of surgery techniques, bone grafting options, impact on flexibiltiy, bracing, and many more areas that help make informed decisions. There are also chapters that focus on postive thinking and staying healthy.
The book helped me feel like I was in control of the decisions that were being made. Understanding their jargon and being aware of options and reasons why or why not, certainly helps me know that I am doing the best possible for my daughter.
I found it so infomative I purchased my own copy online from amazon.

After my daughters surgery 20th July and recovery, I shall be putting this into the arena for others to read.

Thanks again
Louise

Thank you Louise for letting us know it's still doing the rounds. I hope it keeps going for many years. It's such a valuable read for those of us facing surgery.

If the book is not doing its rounds but is sitting on a book shelf I would like to borrow it. Am keen to read it.
