Oh how terrible. Hum thats why I say always follow up with phone calls, its not been a pest, as these things happen all to often unfortunately. Surely your doctor could talk to the specialist and stress how upset you are with the pain etc.

I told him how stressed I am and he's going to put a note with my paper work telling them he sent the forms a month ago I didn't ring and follow up because I don't know who my specialist will be and where I'm going they get 700 calls and people going there

When I first started out exploring my scoliosis and kyphosis curve I was seeing a chiropractor. They arranged the xrays and also calculated the degree of the curvature, so I would suggest maybe while you are awaiting to hear back from the specialist with an appointment, go and see a local chiro (I have a great clinic I could recommend). Before my surgery (im now 9 weeks post op) I relied on chiropractic care for my pain management and found that having regular adjustments really helped with the pain (I was experiencing cramps, spasms and general aches and pains). I never really found a GP who was very helpful and I was also hesitant to try pain medication as I never thought my pain was that bad to warrant anything stronger than panadol.
It is a long process to get into see specialists and often a long time in between appointments but keep your head up and hopefully you will get all the info you need to decide if you need surgery. |

Yes I also hope I can get into see a specialist ASAP as I'm really getting frustrated now but at least the Tranadol takes away some of my pain

Hi Guys....
i live in melbourne also and my friend who has serious pain with contstant migranes sees a myotherapist to help relax the muscles. she finds this works well with the pain killers her doctor has recommended. I also see a myotherapist to keep my back in check... i see it as maintenance to ensure i don't get pain from my scolosis. |
