Default Schroth method in brisbane

Hi everyone.

Does anyone know of any Schroth practitioners in Brisbane. I would really love to learn this method for my scoliosis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Niki

I am new to forum. Also live in Brisbane and searching for help without surgery. I am 75 years old and in very good health. My leg and hip pain is close to unbearable. However, there is a scoliosis clinic at a hospital in Brisbane. A referral from a specialist is required I think. There is also a clinic in Forest Lake which includes visits from a scoliosis specialist every three months. Then my other option is a scoliosis specialist who actually lives in Sydney but treats patients via Skype. I am still doing research but it appears those are my three choices. Each centre mentioned I believe uses SCROTH combined with SEAS but don't quote me on that point as some might use SCROTH only. I might also mention that I saw an orthopaedic surgeon recently who presented surgery but never discussed the possibility of a non-surgical approach. He said I could die from blood loss from the operation. Also that I could end up paraplegic. I am now terrified at the thought of surgery and desperately must find somewhere in Brisbane to go to. Good luck in your search and eventual choice.

If your main issue is pain, you might also want to look into Alexander Technique. You can find more information at http://www.austat.org.au/
