Default What form of Scoliosis do I have?

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. Don't quite know if I'm in the right area. I have always been told that I have scoliosis. I know my back is a bit crooked but I recall the doctors saying it all stems from the base of the my spine, the bone at the start is shaped like a triangle. What does this mean? I was always kept from contact sports and heavy physical activity. Does anybody know?

Sincerely,
unboundword2006

To unboundword2006,
Have you seen a specialist to confirm if it is scoliosis and have you done x-rays to establish this. How old are you and what state do you live in.? This forum is fantastic just talking and asking questions will gain you lots of information.Im not sure re: the triangle shape on the base of your spine, its really important you find out if its scoliosis. good luck

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am assuming that you are talking about the sacrum. If you do have scoliosis, it is probably lumbosacral (sp?). Do you have any pain? Do you have sciatic type symptoms. Have you had a spinal surgeon take a look at your spine? Sorry about all the questions. Are you able to elaborate a little more - such as symptoms, pain (where?), who held you back from sports? The people on this forum are great and a very helpful bunch. Ask and you shall receive.....
