I think there may be at least two books as I bought one and then it started travelling around the country

Maybe there are quite a few doing the rounds now.

Hi Eliz. I can't help with who may have the book on the forum as I am a new member. However we have just ordered the book on ebay. It cost just under $30 but because it comes from America it unfortunately takes about 2 weeks to get here. May be an option for you if you don't have any luck finding it.

Hi Eliz. Wising you and your son all the best with the surgery. Its such a shame that you can't get more books in Australia on scoliosis. I rang our local library and they were able to locate 2 books (not even sure what they are) from another library the other side of town for us - but are still waiting for them to arrive too. None of the book stores I rang in Adelaide had any. I have just read some of your other posts - your son's curve sounds very similar to my daughter's - she's also 15 and due to have surgery early March (T4-T12). Fortunately she doesn't get any pain though with her's. We asked our surgeon whether a brace could have helped her had we seen him earlier but he said it wouldn't have helped her type of curve - not sure if that was maybe because it was a thoracic curve?? Will you be travelling back home long after the surgery? Hoping all goes smoothly for you. Wish your son a speedy recovery from us

Hi Trace,
We have booked an apartment for 7 days next to hospital but may need to stay another week after that, with a 4 hour flight home.
Will let you know how we get on! Are you in Adelaide?
Ordered book on book depository for $20 last night so hope it arrives before we go! Liz

Hi Eliz. Yes we are in Adelaide. I really hope the book gets to you in time. It's just nice to read more positive things and feel like you have a good understanding of the whole process. It's been so good to read the posts on this site - hearing about other peoples' experiences and emotions that you can relate to all too well. Its good that you have an apartment for a week in Melbourne to give your son some recovery time. Maybe you could ask the nursing staff for some helpful hints to make the flight home as comfortable as possible for him. How's he feeling about it? Is he able to get back to tennis after the 9 months? How are you coping? Some days all I can do is think about it. Would love to hear how it all goes. Wishing you both all the best.
