Default 2 surgeries for double curve?

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone else has had 2 surgeries for major double curve scoliosis. Our 14 yo daughter is facing 2 surgeries 1 week apart in August. Has anyone experience with this process? Any helpful hints?

I'm also interested in any thoughts re hiring a reclining chair for when we are home or any other aids for home?

thank you

Hi my daughter had thoracic and lumber surgery three weeks ago tomorrow. She is doing well but still on pain killers. I was given a pamphlet on discharge stating what she can and can't do and one of the things she is not allowed to do is sit on a reclyner for at least 6 months. She is lying on a normal couch most of the day and sits on and normal chair to have her meals. Before you go hiring chairs and reclyners i suggest you ask your doctor first. Good luck with everything, hope all goes well and my thoughts are with you during this tought time.

Hi there,

Do you know if surgery in anterior or posterior? And why they are doing it a week apart? Where are you having surgery? PM me if you like

Cheers Trace
