Exclamation Rod removal

Hello wonderful people,
I am due to have my rods removed by the end of the year as they have been causing me pain and they are sticking out of my back and you can feel them through my skin, he said this usually happens to thin patients.
Has anyone else had their rods removed? Can you tell me what's it's like especially recovery time?
The pain is horrendous and I'm hoping the surgery resets my body and helps the pain!
Thank you in advance

Default Re: Rod removal

Hi Pippa. I don't know anyone who has had their rods removed but wish you all the best with it. Are they going to remove all of the screws too? My daughter gets sore where one of the screws rubs on a tendon or muscle...not sure exactly what it is. Will you be in hospital long? Hope it all goes well for you x
