Smile Re: JJ (13yrs) surgery this Sat- Our journey begins

We are now 5. Days post surgery. These kids are amazing. Jaide only came out of ICU yesterday as is now happily in a ward. She has been walking around and gaining confidence day by day. They have just removed her IV's so is now on oral pain meds. Had a bit of trouble with her bowels from all the pain killers so hopefully things will move along soon so to speak, it's been 6 days so hopefully not far away. She is 5cm taller from a quick measurement will know more in the next few days . Can't wait to see the x-rays. Her back looks so much straighter already, very swollen at the bottom though.
I wish we could name surgeons on here cause I'm so impressed by hers , he is one of the most professional, amazing Drs I have met and would strongly recommend him without any hesitation whatsoever!

Thats fantastic news. The worst part is now over for you and Jaide. Everyday you will see an improvement and before you know it, she'll be back doing everything she was before surgery. Take care x
