Default Re: Standing Crooked After Surgery

Hi Pina,

When we went for the first post OP visit at 6 weeks, she was still not walking as we would have liked to see. Our surgeon explained that because of the pain they experience after surgery, they hold on to the position that causes less pain. Can't remember exactly but she had surgery in Nov and when she returned to school at end of Jan she was walking, tall and straight. We did not let her carry her school bag. She had a set of books in school and kept hers at home to revise. So that is important. She also complained that she could feel the rods to begin with, now feels nothing. Time will heal so be positive. Once our surgeon explained to us the reasons behind her walk, I stopped worrying.
