Default surgery after 65

I am new to this website and I am so pleased to have found it.
I have had scoliosis most of my life and have managed to live with it reasonably well. However, as I am approaching old age I am concerned that the progression of this condition will ultimately put me in a wheel chair. What options do I have to prevent this? I viewed a video put out by the Korean University Guro Hospital showing an extraordinary operation that showed keyhole surgery that did not involve fusion. Would this type of operation be suitable for someone of my age?
Thanks Mickie
