Default Skating Activities

Hi

I'm new to the forum. My 11.3 yr old daughter was recently diagnosed with IAS. I think 3 curves: first is a shallow curve in the upper cervicothoracic region, second T6-7 to T12 (27 degrees) and third T12 to L4-5 (29 degrees).

We are waiting for our specialist appointment early February. Can anyone tell me if it's wise to allow her to continue her usual sporting activities? We've stopped Cirkidz, but she really wants to go ice skating. It's just a once-off thing. I'm leaning toward stopping her from doing anything to aggravate her spine, but I also don't want to limit her life so much that's she's resentful, self-conscious and miserable.

Any advice welcome.

Best

Dy
