Hi Katherine, Sorry to hear that the children are not well. Our granddaughter Charli (4months) was also sick last week. The GP said she had croup. I said to my DIL, she sounds more like bronchitis. We took her to the Childrens Hospital and they confirmed ( via a nose swab) that she did in fact have bronchitis. After one week at home (no taking her anywhere) she has come good. It is also good to read that you are doing really well. As you said, take one day at a time. As for me, i'm getting there. The leg pain ia stilol there but it is very dull, feels more like bruising. The spasms at night have stopped - thank God! I must go as it is very late. Katherine make sure you look after yourself. It must be tiring for you to have them both ill. I sincerely hope that the children get well very soon. Take care and best wishes. ((hugs))

hi jen,
my kids are great busy as usual. Its 3 months today since my operation cant believe it , im feeling great and no more brace and i started driving last week . I feel like i have my own space and freedom back.My health is okay my iron levels are still very low but im refusing to take iron tablets cause they make me so damn constipated.Overall only a little discomfort at night. loving the new me its amazing how my self esteem has changed over the last few months. i dont feel uncomfortable in my body anymore , my regret is not doing the operation years ago. cant wait to hit the beach, that was the hardest for me and i think its why i hated summer so much not anymore. Another thing is no more back pain not even when its the time of the month, sorry ranting as usual im just so happy with my result . anyway have a fantastic day . Hi rodverta , hope you have been well and not in too much pain. how are you feeling ? take care . |

Hi Jen, how are you? I hope all is well with you. Have been meaning to post a reply to you since your last post, but my comp lost service twice and my posts were lost. I was most annoyed. My leg pain had almost all disappeared, but my si joint pain and mild sciatica reared its ugly head again with menses this week. I had been in Melbourne since Wednesday and got back last night. I did alot of walking to try and relieve it. Its not too bad now, but its still there mildly. I will be making an appt with my GP this week as i think there are some issues i need to sort out. As you have said before, maybe this issue was going to show regardless of surgery or not, i think you may be right! One thing that is making me a little jittery, is the fact that i have now woken up twice to find myself lying on my stomach - ooohhh it feels so good - are we allowed to do that? Take care Jen and don't work too hard, 'speak' to you soon. ((hugs))

Hi Katherine, I have been reasonably well exxcept for the abovementioned issues (in reply to Jen), but nothing at all to worry about, i am sure that we will get some answers this week. Wow, three months already! My, how time flies. It was this week (last June) that i gave up my pain meds. With regards to the iron tablets, have you tried taking them at night with a glass of OJ? This worked for me. Apparently the tablets are best absorbed overnight and of course the OJ adds extra fluid and fiber. I sometimes used to eat a kiwi fruit with them instead of the OJ. I know that feeling of happiness regarding surgery that you describe. Its awesome! I cant wait for this summer either. I live ten mins from the beach and so i am there alomost everyday, however, last summer, i was around the 6 month stage and a little hesitant because of waves etc to go swimming. Ok, gotta go now, the Aussies are playing in a minute (World Cup). Have a good weekend, 'speak' to you soon. ((hugs))

Hi Jen, I did find that uterus information very interesting, as my uterus is way sort of over the back and to have a pap smear I have had to push it down for the doctor to complete it. I wonder if this has anything to do with all this jolly pain. Really, that info was great, thankyou.

Thanks Chris. I am fused down to S1. My one year appt showed lots of both growth in that area. We may have found the answer to this pain, however, i will have it confirmed one way or another next week with a visit to my Gyn. I had a CT scan a few weeks ago. It showed an enlarged retroverted uterus with adenomyosis, enlarged left ovary and fibroids. I will keep everyone posted.

So the retroverted uterus has reared its ugly head with you as well RV, so sorry to hear that you are suffering from it all. As you said please keep us posted, gosh as if you haven't been through enough. I think you deserve a break, but no doubt you have the spirit to keep on going, all the best.
